SJC says i did't return keys, i put them in dropbox.

What is my course of action here? They charged me $150 for lost keys. I know for a fact i put them into the drop box at roughly 4:45 AM.

It's basically my word vs. the station word. I have already filed a complaint to have the regional manager look into it. The national rep says usually these are settled 50/50. Why should i pay anything when i know i put the keys in the dropbox?

This is just poor customer service no call or anything i had to see in on my bill 3 days later.

Do i need to start to take a video recording every time i drop keys in a dropbox for evidence? What do others do when no one is around for a car drop.

I have had probably 175 rentals in the past 9 yrs without incident.
