To add some background to this, some highly exaggerated stories of this nature have been circulating on the usual militant cabin crew forums for some time.
Having failed to gain any traction within BA (no doubt due to exaggeration and general storm-in-a-teacup-ness of the stories) the usual troublemakers have decided to take it to the press. This is actually a well worn path and quite familiar to BA insiders. It's simply the way certain elements of the cabin crew community like to operate.
I think that sort of behaviour - leaking information to the press - is the worst sort of unprofessionalism.
All firms of BA's size will have incidents such as this from time to time; honestly, it doesn't really bother me one jot. People are human.
What's sad is certain elements of the employee base seeking to put down their own employer, simply because they have a grudge, about what I couldn't possibly fathom.
