The P&W-powered 777s (NH) have this annoying metallic buzz that you can hear if sitting by the window even in front of the engine. In the same position on R-R powered ones (CX), it seems to be very acceptable.

You do hear/feel the roar is sitting behind in an AA one (not sure what engine AA 772s use).
