I book reward stays for friends all the time, by simply adding their name to the reservation along with mine. They have never had any trouble checking in.

My boss needed a room next month where there is a big convention in town. To remind them why I use Hilton vs someone cheaper, I was able to book a room online using the 48 hr Diamond guarantee, and when I called to add their name I was told only my name could be on a 48hr reservation. I called the non Diamond line and was able to add their name.

That got me thinking, could there be an issue for them checking in, even though both our names are on the reservation?
