I made a reservation via the website two days ago and was given a price of just over 1,000 YTL. Today I tried to pay, but the website would only give me an error message about 'minimum connecting times' (not clear why, as my connections were all well within limits).
So, I tried phoning in to pay. At first I was told the price is now YTL1,600 because I am paying by telephone. I explained the website was not working, and they confirmed this to me, saying they had a 'technical issue', but that I would still have to pay. I protested, as the website was still offering YTL1,234 for my flights, just not accepting payment. At this point, I was told a message had been sent to the 'authorisation department' to sort things out, and that I should call back in one hour to purchase the ticket.
I called back as requested and spent 25 minutes on hold, only to be told I now had to pay €750 for the ticket. By now, this was beginning to feel like I was being gouged.
I hung up and called in to Customer Relations instead. At least these people seem to be taking it seriously and have promised resolution quickly, but at this point I no longer know what to expect.
2+ hours on the phone today (at Skype rates, but still a significant cost), and 2 hours of my Sunday essentially wasted.
I've flown THY for a number of years, but as a recipient of a status match recently I'm trying to fly them more frequently. Based on this experience, I'm not sure how long that is going to continue.

to THY for this one.
