I think it really comes down to what your child likes eating. There will be a choice of two main courses, so I am sure one of them might appeal.

Some children would not eat the CE food but those like your son, who sounds like he eats the same food as you, would probably be fine.

It really depends on your son's eating habits.

The children do love the chocolate and crispy bits but you could easily bring those along yourself anyway.

When I used to travel with my son, I carried lots of nibbles and other items to keep him amused.
