- If OP always flies on expensive tickets I would suggest:
1) evaluate if www.aairpass.com would be a better solution
2) credit those expensive flights to BA

Either of these would make more sense to me rather than starting a new thread about tailoring AAdvantage rules to the OP needs and flying pattern
