An example of airline pricing insanity: LHR-IAD Late October to US late november return is around $770 right now. IAD LHR same dates? $200 more.

Having watched these fares for 4 years now, it's amazing that they're trying to milk US folks that much for this trip during such a slow season. Either they're going to fly with empty planes (which the seat maps suggest) or there's going to be more big price drops.

I bet on the latter, probably AFTER the big fall "sale" is finished. It's interesting too that earlier flights, late september through mid-october are cheaper, but not by the $200 that LHR-IAD-LHR are.
