Hello everybody.
My husband does extensive travelling though out the year (about 10months/year) and collects a huge amount of air miles. I am in the lucky position to use these air miles to visit my family in Europe once a year.

I am already booked for MEL-SIN-FRA in Business with Singapore Airlines in May 2013 and was about to book DUS-LHR-SIN-MEL in First when Qantas and Emirates made the big announcement. I was so stunned about this move and the new possibilities that I didn't finish my booking.

When I was finally ready to book (the same evening) all award bookings for Business and First with Qantas have disappeared. The only flights I can still get in First are with BA. I had BA this year and was not really impressed with the service (I left London on my birthday and they forgot ).

Does anybody how long it might take to be able again to make award bookings in First with Qantas/Emirates for a travel date after April 2013 ?
