Are there ANY flights out of SFO that you can snag the so called complimentary upgrades on UA - w/ Gold Status.

The best I have EVER done is # 13 or 14 on the list on ANY filght to/from SFO to other hubs - regardless of day of the week.

Seems that UA is just using "complimentary upgrade" as a marketing ploy
for Silver & Gold.

Any one had any luck out of SFO for the elusive complimentary upgrade?
