Since your dates are fixed, I would suggest contacting the property directly or via HH by eMail and make your request. The property can override pretty much any rules it has in place if they choose.
since it's a reward stay you will need to contact hhonors to change it for you.
the hotels cannot make reward reservations, unless they put you on hold and call hhonors anyway. (so, it's a time saver and much easier to call hhonors yourself).
with a minimum set (as you say), they will have to cancel the first reservation and rebook it anyway. so the all 5nights will need to show available.
