I had it up and was looking to book the week (figuring I'd return early), but then I realized the taxes charged would be on the week rate (best case) which would make the car almost as expensive as just renting it outright, and worst case they invalidate my "coupon" and charge my card on file the full amount. I like gambling, but the upside for taking this chance just didn't seem to outweigh the risk.

I'm disappointed having built up so many points... but I almost never travel on the weekend and I very rarely stay anyplace 5 days... So I guess unless I like driving a tin can of a car around, the Hertz reward program is just not for me. Very Sad.
