It doesn't. There have been temporary exceptions in the form of specific and publically advertised matching campaigns, but none at the moment as far as I know and I suspect there won't be any for a long time. You might be luckier with some other skyteam airlines such as DL as status match is more common in the American microcosm than in the European one.
