I wish they would screw things up and show the ditching video - that may waken a few people up to safety!

Another facet of information I learnt the other day relates to the onset of hypoxia. It's quicker at higher altitudes. If you had been on the Rocket during cruise you really had about six seconds. At FL 15 you have as much as six minutes. FL 40 was closer to 23 seconds. So do not help that child first Mr and Mrs parent.

I know there is a balance to all this, but a subtle reminder that all those who took off their shoes and had to run through burning jet fuel on the SQ6 in TPE had their feet amputated. Those who had kept their shoes on for takeoff didn't.
