Flying to the US quite often for business a few years back, I was having to fly AA, as the flights were paid for by the Federal Government of the US under the Fly America Act, which meant an American carrier had to be used, and my flights were almost exclusively to RDU, which is only served direct by AA from London. Most of that is gone now, so most of my flying is leisure, and the one or two for business are routes BA serve, and I do feel the urge to buy British when I can. The general level of service is better than AA, and I like the way status is attained, as I think it is easier than on AA (even though I was PLAT with them 3 years running, and have only just got to Silver with BA)

CW, think that is more a CAA thing with the phones. They need to change their stance on that, as it is a bit daft now. But that is a whole separate (1000+ page) thread
