Are you suggesting you guest your wife into one lounge and then leave her there, and then guest your child into another lounge with yourself?
Is it worth it? Wouldn't you all be happier to be together even if you're paying for your food and beverages?
yeh I have done this before, leaving wife and child in the equivalent of huxleys and going into lounge myself, as I need a few whiskies before flying.
Its just one of those things if it can be done, its worth doing to get all in lounge at once.
