Yeah... I was sitting on a JFK-LAX leg and my seatmate mentioned he had just flown ANC-JFK. I looked confused, knowing that no one flew that nonstop (...with passengers), until he clarified that he had just captain'd a 747F.

You may have reasons for why you don't want the upgrade and the system can't figure out if you're traveling with companions on separate PNRs very easily.
