Suggestions on what to do with luggage repair
Hello. I had my Mendoza Hard Shell luggage damaged on my recent flight to MNL.
I reported it to DL and they agree to have a repair facility come to my place of work and pick up the luggage and repair and deliver it back to me. They (DL) told me the repair facility said it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get the replacement part in and get it repaired and returned to me.
They picked up the luggage on 26 July 2012 and I have still not received it back. I have made several attempts at contacting DL about the luggage as I have a trip back to the US on 11 September and I would like to be able to use my luggage.
DL said the repairman believed he should be able to deliver it by today, Friday September 7. 11am and still no luggage or reply form Dl about whether or not it will be delivered to day or not.
Any suggestions on what I should do? Pursue for them to find me a replacement since they told me initially it would be 2 to 3 weeks and its now well over 4 weeks? Buy a new one and send them the bill? This is by no means a cheap piece piece of luggage $390 USD for it.
