I would never compalin about any seat. Once seated in the middle of the last row of a full HP flight, PHX-ORD, between a couple which had just connected in from LAS where they had lost their fortune (I suspect it wasn't that large to start with). They refused to sit next to one another. Talked over me with an occasional attempt to hit one another. I didn't appreciate their behavior (nor their situation), but I didn't complain about my seat. I just closed my eyes, leaned back, and smiled because flying itself is, IMHO, a joy no matter where one sits.
Well, that's genuinely mind-boggling. What on earth is a joy about it? Perhaps you mean that life is a joy but then why is it better to be as you describe above? Would you say that it's a joy to be in prison too? Better still if your cellmates are fighting with each other? Curious.
