No. A pilot and I were sitting in an exit row in June this year (Boeing 757), and at the last minute, a GA walked to me, and gave me my upgrade (last in F). I talked to the pilot if he wanted it, he said "No", and "customer first". Later on, I offered to buy him a drink (I was in F), the flight attendent said he was not allowed to drink with his uniform on. I really felt good about to be an EXP with AA.
