I've just received both an email and text to warn me that my BA8 HND-LHR flight tomorrow is delayed. The incoming BA7 isn't due to depart for another 8 hours or so but is already showing a ~3 hour departure time delay.

For a BA8 departure (scheduled departure time 6.25am) I would normally get up at 4am and arrive HND at 5am.

Assuming BA7 leaves LHR around 3 hours late what would you do regarding check-in at HND? I see my options as follows:

1/ Up at 4am, arrive HND at 5am, check-in, hang around the airport lounge for ~ 4 hours.

2/ as 1/ except back track to hotel (10 mins by taxi) after check-in and come back to HND later.

3/ since the flight is delayed by 3 hours then shift my schedule by 3 hours, i.e. up at 7am, arrive HND 8am, etc. etc.

4/ some other option I've not thought of

I must admit that "up at 7am" has much more appeal to me than "up at 4am" but do I risk anything with option 3/ ??
