Through-put speed for retractable ribbon cable is less than real twisted pair cables or cables with a higher gauge.

My retractable USB - Micro USB cable is 1/3 to 1/4 the speed of the genuine Blackberry cable.

My retractable RJ45 takes four times as long to transfer the same amount of data as a twisted pair RJ45 patch cord.
