Actually Mrs Mod - I would love you to be in T5 when I travel through as I would love to meet you - the voice of sweet reason.

As for improvements. I would like to see Lounges in T5C. An elimination of that stupid circuitous route to the Lounges that most of our passengers in Premium cabins use. There is a means to do so but the howls from this Forum would be heard in the Arctic wastes.

I think the biggest improvement would be far more monitors in and out of the lounges. That there should be no announcements is fine - although I prefer them - you must give people no excuse to miss their flights and not all of us want to keep hopping up and down to look.

Please please please please please stop all this code sharing flight number nonsense in this and all airports. I am not flying Qantas, Cathay, American or anyone else other than BA to Nice. They clutter up the display screens and just give confusing messages.

Please run those wretched trains to and fro the B and C gates much more often if possible - again people who are not in the know just do not get how far those distances are including the ride to and from the bowls of the earth.

Make sure that there is someone to man the jetty to the aircraft when we dock and for God's sake put Iberia and non Long Haul aircraft on the remotes not us and not all the time. Everything should be out of T3 with immediate effect and out of T1 ASAP. If it's too much - move some of it to LGW.

Lastly get the UK Border agency to sort out their act and get IRIS fixed or something else that works. I'll bet if it was left to the Private Sector there would be far more automation and it would work efficiently. For heaven's sake we in the UK have all the worst of Schenghen - it's clearly not working given the problems - let's sign up and do away with all the EU passengers being checked and then maybe they could give proper attention to the people who need it.

One last plea - I would love to shop for perfume and cosmetics without some dreadful person sidling up and asking me if I need help today. I usually say "yes with my bag to the Gate - thank you for offering!"

Just go away and leave me alone!
