I was a bit lost too when I first read it. I had to write down each segment to fully understand how OP wanted to fly.

In theory it should work should OP postpone his second segment (HKG - TPE) on OP first itinerary to a later date. (a friend of mine did this before for a ex-TPE run) but this was couple years back I'm not sure if it will still work.
