So if you buy a full Y ticket partially with pay with miles and then cancel it, do you get an ecredit, since it becomes nonrefundable due to pay with miles, based on the original fare or based on the money you paid after applying the pay with miles? What happens to the miles that were used? If the former, then having the pay with miles rules continue to apply seems reasonable because otherwise you have found a way to launder miles into money--well, DL dollars--without restrictions.
