On second thought, #4 may have thrown me off due to a longer than normal (for me) 737 being used. But, it was the first time I heard #3. Anyone else hear #3?
Actually, my flights had:

3a. Those who gate-checked their carryon
3b. Passengers not using overhead bin (@PHX) or Passengers with no carryon luggage at all (@SEA)

I'm fine with 3a. 3b seems a bit excessive...
