Update. On the flight booking page of the BA website, when you clicked on the link for the flight number (BA80XX) it said "operated by BA" but in the "arrivals and departures" area of the BA website it says "operated by British Midland"

But as BMI is now owned by BA should this really matter ?

Eg all flights to London City, operated by BA Cityflyer do get the discount.
