I have platinum status on American. I'm flying on a Vietnam Air coded flight from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh round-trip. The flight is operated by Cathay Pacific however on their equipment. Can I earn AA miles somehow? Vietnam Air is part of Skymiles, but Cathay is oneworld. These are N class tickets to boot. Maybe I can earn Skymiles instead if AA is just out of the question?
