Indeed not much to do, however I recommend going to a place called Souq Waqif where you can eat lots of arabic food and smoke shisha/hooka. Its a chilled out area and quite nice for a for a first time tourist. I also like the Jazz bar at the Oryx Hotel which is probably where QR will put you up for the layover.
