Actually, it seems that the new United likes to round down. While golds used to get a 100% mileage bonus, they now only get 50% (despite the promises that the pre merger MM's would continue to get their benefits as they always have). Yet is seems that I am not even getting a 50% bonus when the actual flight miles are an odd number -- instead the new United rounds the 0.5 mile down. So, not only are they not providing the 100% bonus that was promised to us in the past, they are not even meeting their current changed commitment to give us 50%. Another change we are expected to like, and clearly in line with Smisek's pre-flight message telling us how important it is to meet their commitments.
