Legitimate grumble regarding F meal service ?
Ok I'm not going to give out the route or date just yet as I don't want to ID the crew.
Recently returned from a short holiday with the girlfirend, originally booked in CW but as seen as the outbound was a daytime flight I upgraded to F with Avios.
Everything was going just fine. We enjoyed the CCR, main meal service was good and the overall service from the crew up untill i went and asked for afternoon tea was great.
So about 2hrs before arrival, myself and the GF feel a little peckish, so we decide to have some afternoon tea. I get up and pop to the gallery and start talking to a crew member where I ask if we could order afternoon tea. Another member of the crew says to me "Would you mind waiting half an hour as we don't want to disturb the cabin yet, and we will be offering afternoon tea to the rest of the cabin in a short while." The cabin was in darkness but i don't recall many passenegers that where actually sleeping.
After a few very polite exchange of words, where I explain to the crew that in F shouldn't I be able to order food when I want it and not when the crew decided they want to serve it. Only then did the crew reluctanly offer to bring us out afternoon tea.
As for grumbles go it's not a biggie in the grand scheme of things, but it did take the shine off what was up untill then a great flight in F.
