that must have been awful, especially if it's a day flight.

Last year I flew trans-atlantic on Iberia Y, and shockingly found out that they were still flying planes with those shared projector TV screens (no personal IFE, obviously), showing a movie that I didn't care for. That was 8 long, painful daytime hours as I wasn't expecting this and therefore didn't bring onboard any books or magazines. Can't imagine having to endure 16 hrs of that.

the only way out (at least to me) is knocking myself out cold with loads of wine.
