Samui is a mafia infested sh..t hole. Why anyone would want to spend their holiday there is beyond me. I prefer Phuket, an even bigger sh..t hole, but at least one which offers more "stuff" (shopping, relax, beaches, party), and one that's easy to take driving day trips from. And that's not counting the fact that the Gulf of Thailand is a polluted, dirty, trashfilled dump. Yuck.

There are soooo many nicer places to vacation than Samui.
