Had the same thing happen to my 90's era Citi card. I was able to get it reinstated, though it did (unbelievably, IMHO, given all my Citi products) require a hard pull. It's my second oldest card (next to a Chase Freedom card I dusted off for 5X UR on restaurants this quarter ;-) )

I now know to take a card out of the drawer periodically.
