Based on numerous calls to DL and AS, there is no way for DL to pay AS for the miles in this situation. If the original routing was on AS and would earn more miles/segments, AS would give ORC (original routing credit), but not when DL would be paying for the miles. When this has occurred in the past, AS has been able to give some courtesy RDM and note that I'm actually 1 segment closer to MVP requalification.
Given DL's rerouting policy, you may want to book an extra segment on your next flight delay if you have the time. Especially on the East Coast, it's relatively easy to add an extra segment and arrive not much later. YMMV, but DL agents seem to be very willing to rebook onto AS due to the expanded partnership, especially if the AS flight has a DL flight number.
