Are they lying about my luggage?

Wondering if you can help me out. I landed yesterday on a club world flight from LHR to EWR. Upon arrival I received a text message saying that a bag did not travel with me. After retrieving two/three of the bags i proceeded to the BA desk. They informed me because of a plumming issue my bag didn't arrive. When i mentioned that I had received two others, they were slightly embarrassed. They said that my bag was already in transit and I would be receiving it today (Travel date +1).
It's currently 5:30 pm and I called the executive club. A nice lady we spoke to said that the bag should be with us today but can't promise and we need to speak with the courier company ourselves. After requesting to speak with a manager or supervisor as the courier company are contracted by BA and not me, I was informed that I was actually speaking with the India office and all the managers and supervisors are asleep! I've just spoken to the courier company and they said it will be delivered some point tomorrow (Two days after arrival).
Am I wrong for expecting more when traveling club world?
Lastly, whilst at the gate boarding in LHR, we were asked if we want our push chair for our 4 month old son brought back up to us at the gate upon arrival or collect at the belt. We said we would like it at the other end if there is no delays. When we landed we had to wait 20 minutes for the push chair, at this time everyone had gone in front of us at the immigration line and this was extremely frustrating. After waiting for a couple of minutes I did ask if I can just collect it at the belt to avoid the immigration lines but they said no.
It's such a shame for us to experience this, as the flight crew were superb and I usually have an excellent experience when traveling with BA.
