Apologize if its posted in the wrong forum. Trying to see what the latest trend is knowing that most of us (including myself) have not been very happy with the service quality after the CO/UA merger.

I have a 5000 mile flight segment (one way booking) and the cheapest comes in at $569, and the cheapest star alliance is $733.

I have both OW and Star Alliance air miles... currently have most of my miles in OW. All of them credits at 100%, no elite/premier status on either of them... miles required for flying from place to place seems to be close but one world feels unpredictable in the surcharges required. What do you guys think?
