Agree with others that there's little to see until you get to Denver. Iowa and Nebraska are coma inducing states. I'd get up into the Rockies past Denver although you need to check to see if Rocky Mountain National Park roads are open. If you can make it to Sedona, AZ which is feasible especially if you decide to see the Grand Canyon and is on the way to I-10 which is the route to I-15 and ultimately San Diego, I'd make the time. It's a spectacular part of the country.
