Went back many pages and did not see answers so apologies if answered earlier in the thread:

1) given a choice would you choose upstairs BE or downstairs BE? (I will have one reasonably sized carryon for the OH plus a small laptop bag)

2) how is upstairs factored into FEBO meal selection?

I have currently selected seats on my JFK-NRT-JFK flights downstairs figuring I would not want to cart anything up the stairs and have also favored the rear half on the way out/forward on the return to mitigate opportunity for my meal not being available.
