Does a ticket purchased via Airpoints void status with NZ partner airlines?
I purchased a domestic ticket using Airpoints and because I'm Silver on NZ I rang them to get my DJ Gold number placed on the booking so I could select my seats. However, the lady informed me that because it was booked via airpoints I couldnt add the extra number (even though lounge agents seem to have no problem doing this). I then asked if I'd have Koru access and she also said that I had to choose one or the other - pay by Airpoints and have no access, or pay by CC and get access - so apparently I won't have access. Which seems odd as I travelled on an Airpoints funded journey a couple of weeks ago and was able to get in to the lounge with no issues.
Have others encountered this recently or is it just a case of misunderstanding from the call centre staff member....
