It would help if you said what route and dates you were looking at as this affects the availabilty of redemtions. If you want LGW-MCO during UK school holidays you can forget it but for example NYC is easier.

Asking for others experiences without stating your own preferences is not going to help anyone - you may get lots of 'I had no problems getting redemptions on MY route' but that won't help you if thats not a route you want to fly !!


I have never had a problem in getting UC redemptiions (twice on the LHR-NYC in UC) but once I have had to adjusdt my travel by a day but I don't regard that as a hardship - I have had to do the same with other airlines.
