Help needed with international Y-fare!
Hello folks,
I will be on a flight from IAH to FRA on UA in less than 2 weeks. I have a Y-fare from IAH to FRA and have no clue how it works to get to first class.
I assume with GPU on 1K on UA is quite instant but I am "only" a gold this year.
So, does the international Y-fare mean, that it is AT LEAST upgradable for a certain amount, while other fares are not?!
When I log in, they offer that segment upgrade for $550 AND 20,000miles.
Is this my best option or is there something I do not know?!
