BTW, the OP has a very confusing MP situation with MP that even confused others on here. He finally got it resolved after supervisor intervention, and then states "Screw you UA"! This was after he was going to send an e-mail.

Very classy and I wasted time trying to assist the OP, although I was a little bit late.

Very classy. indeed!!!
Yes, god forbid I be upset that I spent hours calling UA at international rates (on my dime) and those same hours taken out of my vacation to argue with United over a problem they created. Why can't I just be a good UA bootlicker and never question their all knowing judgment!

You should have cancelled the first award, had the mileage put back & then rebooked. It looks like that's what you did the first time so why didn't you follow the same formula for the other rebookings. Your (we are) lucky UA let's us make so many changes - many airlines don't so I think the "screw you UA" was a little harsh
I actually suggested when I changed from 90k to 55k that they cancel the award, redeposit the miles and let me start from scratch, but the agent I dealt with at the time was adamant that we not do it this way, because it would be easier for her the other way. In the aftermath of the 90k to 55k change there was also an issue where after weeks of waiting, I spent another day on the phone with UA trying to get my 35k miles difference back. They then in the course of a day credited me 35k, 90k and finally added an additional 110k to my balance before finally correcting it leaving only the 35,000 I was owed. This made for some very confusing deposits and debits on my MP statement on UA's end.

Finally, I changed to CDG-DOH-TBS(stop)-IST-BEY(destination) OPEN JAW CAI-ZRH-BCN. The only change I made after th

is was that I wanted to delete BEY and keep it CDG-DOH-TBS-IST, CAI-ZRH-BCN. I was happy to keep this routing at the 55k award level. United told me removing BEY made it an illegal routing. I'm not sure why, as I showed the agent the provision allowing two open jaws, but I am can't be positive. They tried to break my award into 3-one ways CDG-DOH-TBS, TBS-IST, CAI-ZRH-BCN. In the end, I agreed to let them keep CDG-DOH-TBS and CAI-ZRH-BCN as 1-ways and guy a revenue ticket in Y TBS-IST rather than waste 20k miles. At that point, canceling and rebooking close in didn't make sense.

If I write a polite letter to UA, noting the amount of time and the hundreds of dollars spent recouping miles due to their system errors, any chance they will toss me a few k pity miles?
