Actually, on a serious note, it is dangerous. I mention it as a laugh at danger sort of thing. The metal handle on the lower right is basically to assist when climbing in or out, but no side guards. If my driver was behind the wheel when some elderly person was on the cart, I could see some dowager getting flung off when he does the turn.
