I disagree that unless you travel AE miles are 'wasted'; miles are simply a form of currency. I use mine for aspiration things (like Tumi luggage, IPods or a kayak) that we would not 'spend' after tax dollars on. No taxes and free delivery make the hard goods redemption quite seamless.
