I rent from avis pretty much every week, and maybe 1/3 rentals I bring the car back a day later than I put in the res. never once been a problem, they just charge the extra day. once in a rare while it's been 2 days later than i booked, same deal
I have done the same thing, what started out as a 1 day trip turned into 2 or 3. Avis has never called or quibbled over me turning the car in a few days late.
