At either hotel, you can upgrade for 1200 or 1500 points and it is worth it to be sure of an ocean balcony room. I'd rather have a 3rd floor ocean balcony room in the Historic wing of the Surfrider, despite the not-so-modern bath, than any suite at the Sheraton. The view is over the wedding gazebo garden, so close to the beautiful water, lots of people on boards and playing in the water. And then there's the Japanese and American breakfast buffet eaten sitting on the veranda, or the piano man in the lobby when you come in at night. For just one night, a Sheraton suite doesn't matter...go for something more unique at the Surfrider.

I went with the MS over the Sheraton for my honeymoon a couple years ago. Loved it so much that we're sending her parents there for their 40th later this fall!
