There can be minimum rental time on a weekly rate. If you bring the car back too soon they cancel your weekly rate and switch to the daily rate which can be quite a bit higher.

In other words, a three week rental where you bring it back a few days early will convert to a two week rental plus the extra days which will surprise you with the extra cost.
