Advisory regarding travel to the Philippines. Last week, the Department of Foreign Affairs issued a travel advisory warning Canadians not to travel to the Philippines until further notice. Threats against Canadians and Canadian interests in the Philippines have heightened, and there has been an upsurge in bombings. The Canadian Embassy in Manila is temporarily closed to the public, except for urgent consular assistance. To facilitate customers making changes to their travel plans to/from the Philippines, Air Canada is waiving the usual restrictions on discounted tickets.
