Coming from SCL the left hand side seems ideal as you come in the south side of the island to turn around for the approach from the east.

This is my recollection as well from last year. We seemed to circle for the approach so I got some great photos.

Bring something to properly wipe down the airplane window. People sleep against them and they get all smudgy which is not good for your photos
